When I Realized That I Had Become a Grown-Up

I can date the moment of that life-changing epiphany. I see a path of many times when I grew in that direction. I’ve been the tortoise, not the hare. And that is just as good.

During a time I felt I should be grown- up by now (maybe you know what that’s like!), I felt anything but. To my surprise, people sought me out and shared their fears, their hopes – their very souls, when I could have used some mentoring myself, and didn’t know enough to seek it.
